Who We Are

Our principal, Chris Desjardins has a background in audit, internal control and related areas at major global corporations.  

Chris started his career in internal audit and progressed through roles of expanding scope and responsibility.  He spent two years as a plant controller in a post-acquisition turn-around situation where he was responsible for transaction accounting, reporting, FP&A, procurement, human resources, as well as IT.  Later returning to internal audit to lead a department, he green-fielded  and managed the effort for over ten years.  The department became a go-to for value-added services such as acquisition due diligence, business continuity management, software selection and fraud investigation.  During this time, he coined his oft-used phrase "it's all part of the service".  Chris was also Internal Control Manager for a large global organization, where he was responsible for developing and deploying its Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program.  

Chris graduated from Pace University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.  He has an active CPA license in the state of New York and holds memberships with the American Institute of CPAs as well as the Institute of Internal Auditors. 

Desjardins Consulting clients now benefit from Chris' accumulated expertise in audit, internal control, business process, finance, and peripheral areas accumulated while working with corporate entities, their business units and sub-business units. 

Engagement work is performed by the principal, sometimes in conjunction with other consultants or contractors.  In instances where a larger team is needed, Desjardins Consulting can draw on a vast professional network to bring on additional qualified resources.
